A London based company is starting a new product line which will service the automotive aftermarket segment. We are building a team of creative and energetic leaders to help us finalize product designs that will ensure strong acceptance of our products in the Canadian market. Duties and requirements: Benchmark current products available on the market today and participate in design changes to improve Customer experience and overall satisfaction. Lead and or participate in creating DFMEA and incorporating into new design proposals. Use 3D scanning technology to analyze part design for ‘perfect’ fit of our parts into Customer vehicles. Take 3D scan data and convert in CAD software including Solidworks. Utilize reverse engineering tools to assist in creation of new and improved designs. Lead prototype evaluations using 3D printing technologies of proposed product designs. Once product has received design approval, work closely with the Tooling Engineers to build tools for production. Education: Successful completion of post-secondary program of 2+ years. Bachelor of Mechanical / Design Engineering is preferred. Experience: 5+ years of experience using CAD design software ( Solidworks, NX Unigraphics, Catia ) Skills and Abilities: Attention to detail with high standard of accuracy. Strong data analysis and problem solving skills. Creative. Enjoy working in and making team based decisions. As our products with serve the automotive markets, a strong interest in auto designs will help in making this a rewarding challenge. Compensation: $50-$70k based on experience and education Full health benefits including RRSP plan.
