As the Product Marketing Manager you are primarily responsible for communicating the product’s value to our target market through the creation of customer-based marketing strategies that identify target customers and align product marketing campaigns and content in order to support the customer’s journey. You conduct competitive analyses, monitor, and assess the product’s market in order to realize measures and strategies our business can adopt in order to expand our customer base. You also play a pivotal role in incorporating the realized product strategies into the product’s positioning, product messaging, product roadmaps, and other related activities. This role reports to the VP of Product Management. What we’d like you to do: Through primary and secondary research, define our ‘ideal prospect’ account and contact (company size, industry, department, decision-making role(s), end-user role(s)) Maintain a clear picture of market and product trends, reviewing competitive offerings and making recommendations for competitive differentiation Define the release process and coordinate the activities required to release a product to market Provide source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives Take a leadership role in the efforts before, during and after product releases Take a leadership role in coordinating and crafting release communications, and in the customer-facing product communications, knowledge content, training, and onboarding efforts Define market segmentation models and formulate optimized product messaging for product solutions tailored to varying audiences of the product Monitor, evaluate, and make recommendations on product backlogs based on product usage metrics and KPI performance Engage directly with customers to monitor satisfaction and experience with the product Support the Technical Product Manager and UX Strategist to ensure feedback and insights from customers feed into the product creation process Participate and contribute to Product and UX to help ensure alignment with market and user requirements, consistency of user experience and alignment of product capabilities to address key customer business problems Take a leadership role in coordinating and measuring Media Sonar’s customer training and onboarding programs, and supporting customer success and other resources in execution Update, support and manage our customer-facing knowledge resources, tours, in-app help and product portals Communicate the status of ideas back to the customers, partners, and internal team members who submitted them Identify, analyze and engage where opportunities for partnerships with third-party vendors exist You should be someone who is/has: An entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for successfully delivering leading technology products to market Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field 5+ years of related experience in product marketing and/or brand management Understanding of Pragmatic Group Framework and/or 280 Group is an asset A strong written ability, and the ability to clearly capture and articulate a view, position, or message Ability to work with sales, success, support, and other client-facing teams to continually collect feedback, insights, and updates Ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits Desire to support and assist our client-facing team in conveying our overall market position, value propositions, and ROI, helping them engage customers and win mandates Ability to work with engineering and product teams to capture client and product feedback Ability to work independently, and identify, then execute on the highest leverage opportunities Ability to influence without direct authority, and to quickly build and continually develop cross-functional relationships Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write effectively for multiple audiences, deliver compelling presentations and interact confidently with internal and external stakeholders Strong data analytic skills and experience with Google Analytics and Google Data Studio Comfort leading initiatives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial technology environment To Apply: If you are interested in an exciting opportunity and the chance to work with an experienced group in a fun and entrepreneurial technology company, apply today with your resume and cover letter at www.mediasonar.com/careers .
