Role & Responsibilities: Position Overview The Project Manager is responsible for developing and implementing project plans within the designated time, scope, and budget. The first project assigned will be the management of the Women’s Ontario Social Enterprise Network program, a $3.5 million 3-year provincial partnership funded by the Federal government. We are looking for experienced candidates with a track record of successfully delivering project outcomes and willing to work in a contract environment. Responsibilities Develop project plans that integrate into Pillar’s overall strategy Plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively Support the management of project scope, goals, and deliverables Manage grant administration process Ensure compliance with grant regulations Manage day-to-day elements of projects Monitor project progress and prepare reports within deadlines Manage project documentation Collect project data and manage project databases Determine resources available to project, such as time and financial commitment Participate in the hiring process in search of required skills to deliver desired outcomes Create project schedule, and assign tasks and deadlines Work with collaborative project management tools (i.e. Basecamp) Coordinate meetings (in-person and virtual) Monitor actual spending compared to planned budget Document payments and expenditure Implement and manage change, when necessary, to meet project outputs Manage project risks, real time issues, and communicate project changes Support evaluation and assessment of project results and outcomes Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions Review project proposals Job Skills, Knowledge, and Strengths: Preferred Skills Demonstrated commitment to social enterprise, nonprofit sector, and social innovation An adaptive and entrepreneurial spirit Excellent relationship building and partnership management skills PMI Certificate or related work experience Proficiency in public speaking and presentation skills Ability to prioritize and meet established deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Superior organizational skills and attention to detail Great leadership qualities Exceptional budgeting and monitoring skills Proven experience in program management and grant administration Exemplary time management skills Ability to undertake a varied workload Thrives under pressure Solutions oriented, creative thinking, and fast learner High standards for personal performance Friendly, open, honest, and courteous attitude Competency in Microsoft Office, G Suite, and Basecamp Respect for Diversity The successful candidate: Appreciates that people with different opinions, backgrounds, and characteristics bring richness to organizations Demonstrates respect for people of diverse backgrounds Promotes fairness and respect for all individuals Values and seeks out differing opinions from a diverse population Suspends judgment and challenges their assumptions, to counteract stereotypes Makes efforts to educate themself and others about diversity issues Work environment: Contract Terms Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Flexible hours, with occasional evening and weekend work required Reporting to Director, Operations and Innovation Works Competitive salary Access to Pillar's Learning & Development program, when possible Based at Innovation Works (201 King Street) Pillar’s Culture and Values Pillar Nonprofit Network was voted one of London’s best places to work by London Inc. magazine!
