EARLY YEARS PROGRAM FACILITATOR The London Children’s Museum (CM) is looking for a highly creative, passionate and joyful Early Years Program Facilitator to join our team. This individual is responsible for the development and delivery of outstanding early years programs at the Children’s Museum. This team member will exemplify our organizational values which are: Stay Curious, Be Awesome, Be Helpful, Dream Big, Include Everyone and Have Fun. Position: Part-time (3 days/week) Key Responsibilities: • Develop and deliver all weekly early years programs including Early Years Play Dates and Early Movers programs • Create opportunities for early years visitors to engage with the CM galleries and exhibits • Engage in meaningful interactions with children and families visiting the Children’s Museum • Provide children with experiences designed to ignite their curiosity and nurture their social, emotional, physical and cognitive development • Maintain and tidy exhibit spaces for optimal visitor experience • Deliver daily programs (i.e. Star Shows) • Advocate for the needs and perspectives of early years visitors • Model and nurture kindness, inquisitiveness, critical thinking and a desire to learn and grow • Deliver curriculum-based education programs as needed • Act as key staff on duty as required • Accept other duties as required Skills & Requirements: • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in early childhood education and/or family learning through a post-secondary degree or related experience • Minimum 3 years experience planning and delivering hands-on, educational programming for children and their families, particularly for an early years (0-4) audience • Experience sourcing materials and creating environments that support children’s development and nurture their curiosity and playfulness • Enthusiasm for the experiential learning philosophy practiced by the Children’s Museum • Support the Children’s Museum Statement of Pedagogy • Desire to work in a distinctly child-centred environment The London Children’s Museum welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
