Company Overview: Our business started in 2005, with one truck running on-demand deliveries. Custom Delivery Solutions now consists of more than 70 units servicing various major cities throughout Western Canada. We are expanding to SW Ontario and looking for the best people to join our team! We handle various types of distribution including home appliances, furniture, liquor, and general freight. Our in-house team boasts combined industry experience of over 50 years. Position Summary: Custom Delivery Solutions is looking for owner/operator contractors who are energetic, self-motivated and most importantly CUSTOMER FOCUSED. Our goal is to provide the highest level of service in the industry and we achieve this by working with a team that shares our passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience. As a contractor you will be responsible for supplying and operating a commercial delivery vehicle in compliance with applicable federal, provincial and local laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. We expect contractors to transport products with the assistance of a helper to customer locations in a safe, timely and courteous manner, while maintaining the highest level of customer service. We provide industry leading training and ongoing support to achieve great results! A 5-ton truck is required to make deliveries to customers in the local and surrounding area. Product will be loaded/unloaded and delivered with the utmost care and professionalism to our customers. Some routes are dedicated and other routes are designed on an ad-hoc basis (hot-shot). Preference will be given to those Owner Operators with previous home delivery and customer service experience. Qualifications: * Appropriate licensing to operate a 5-ton truck in the province of Ontario (minimum) with a clean abstract * Physically fit and able to lift over 100lbs comfortably and consistently * Organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and efficiently * Communication aptitude and problem solving skills * Ability to recognize service initiatives to enhance an existing competitive advantage * Strong team player * Availability to work full-time hours - Shifts are 8-10 hours and include some evening and weekend work * 2006 or newer Five Ton truck, 24 foot box, power tailgate, valid safety, insurance and registration.
