Program Manager – Full Time Violence Against Women Services Elgin County provides 24-hour safety and counsel through our Help Line, Drop In Counselling, and Emergency Shelter. We ensure Community Based Counselling too so help is close by and you don’t have to leave to talk about it. We work together with our community to facilitate Prevention Through Education services. Women who have experienced abuse and their children can count on our services in Aylmer, St. Thomas, and West Lorne. Help is immediate, informed, respectful, and compassionate. Each year over 2,000 people find the help they seek from our agency. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to fulfill the role of Program Manager for our dedicated counselling and leadership team. We need someone with a warm and steady presence coupled with exceptional clinical acumen, sound risk assessment and crisis management skills, and a deep commitment to social change. Responsibilities include: Clinical Supervision Foster a learning environment for practice including facilitation of team rounds in each program of service Mentor our counselling team through provision of routine clinical supervision, regular performance evaluation, and ongoing professional development Recruit, orient, and train counsellors Service Accountability Ensure safe, accountable, and effective service delivery that is aligned with the agency service model, values, mission, vision and all applicable legislation Plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate agency programs including data collection for accountability and quality assurance and ensure relevant program policy to facilitate consistent practice Facilitate risk management in each agency service and provide 24 hour on-call consultation to the counselling team Ensure each site of delivery of program services is maintained with all supplies/materials/mechanisms needed to support excellence in service and positive working conditions Leadership Work effectively as an integral member of the leadership team in the pursuit of both the service and community engagement goals of the agency. Qualifications Necessary : Commitment to the agency vision, mission, and values A minimum of five years management experience in a social service agency A Master Degree in Social Work or related field is preferred. Registration with the College of Social Workers is required. Extensive knowledge and application of trauma informed practice in both residential and community settings Demonstrated excellence in human resources including clinical supervision and performance management Expertise in program planning, development, and evaluation Excellent skills in communication, organization, documentation, relationship building, and generating effective solutions Ability to work autonomously and as part of a leadership team in a small and mighty woman centered organization that bases its services on a feminist perspective Please forward your resume in confidence to Liz Brown at firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday July 8th 2019.
