Reporting to the Manager, Marketing and Communications, the Coordinator will execute marketing communications activities that support our Printed Packaging, Contract Packaging Services and Healthcare divisions, as well as corporate initiatives with emphasis on external-facing tactics that drive business development and enhance customer relationships. Specific accountabilities Marketing campaign management – work with key internal contacts across divisions to develop digital and print advertising, including copy, photography, design and layout, oversee execution of campaigns in partnership with publishing organizations, and create associated metrics/results reports post-campaign Marketing materials management – work with key internal contacts to develop or update promotional materials, sell sheets, signage, catalogues, presentations and other marketing materials. This includes working with third parties to print materials where necessary Market research and competitive intelligence management – complete regular environmental scans to gather industry intelligence, maintain/update competitive landscape overview documents across divisions, and generate research reports on organizations Website management – develop news stories, update event listings, add/revise/remove existing webpages as necessary, maintain website quality indicators and accessibility, report website metrics, and make recommendations to increase return on investment and optimize performance Social media management – develop and post content, design associated images, maintain company profiles, monitor stakeholder activity and generate responses where necessary, monitor competitive activity to identify opportunities for improvement, evaluate new platforms, etc. Corporate profile maintenance and media tracking – review and update corporate and divisional listings in trade publications, and track and report on media activity: website, LinkedIn, press hits, etc. Key qualifications Education: Degree, diploma or graduate certificate in corporate communications, public relations, marketing, or a related discipline Experience: Two (2) to five (5) years of work experience in a marketing and/or communications role Experience within a business-to-business environment is an asset Knowledge, skills and abilities: Exceptional writing skills, with a solid understanding of marketing and journalistic writing styles, and knowledge of the Canadian Press style guide Proficiency using the Adobe Creative Suite, with an emphasis on InDesign and Photoshop Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, with an emphasis on Outlook, PowerPoint and Word Familiarity with the Drupal website content management system is an asset Strong attention to detail, with keen proofreading skills Exceptional organizational and prioritizing skills, with an ability to lead, manage and execute projects across a broad portfolio with time-critical deadlines Bias to action Ability to work within a cross-functional team environment that can include many reporting levels and varying skills and competencies Personal qualities: Resourcefulness Willingness to demonstrate initiative Ability to act independently within approved project guidelines Collaborative Respectful Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues How to apply Please forward the following to weare firstname.lastname@example.org by May 11, 2018 : Cover letter and resume One work sample that best demonstrates writing skill One work sample that best demonstrates graphic design and layout skill While we thank all candidates for their interest, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
