Communications Assistant, Design and Promotion Job Reference #201810-03C
To coordinate and distribute on campus events and key information to the entire King’s community in a strategic manner. To support the Communications and Media Relations Department with the consistency of all brand materials through graphic design and strategic project development. To assist with the coordination of all print and promotional materials within King’s.
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a College diploma with a Certificate in Public Relations and one to two years of previous relevant experience in a communications role, preferably in a post secondary institution. Other qualifications include: proficiency in Advanced Adobe Suites which include InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Sound knowledge of web Content Management Systems, electronic newsletter design and distribution, photography, social media content development and management including YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram. The successful candidate will have outstanding interpersonal, communications, time management and organizational skills as well as the ability to balance multiple projects with differing deadlines. Interactions with students, faculty and staff must be accomplished with integrity, discretion, confidentiality and professionalism. The incumbent must work collaboratively and independently in a small office environment and across units in a team environment. Flexibility with hours of work, including evenings and weekends as required to cover events, news stories, and deal with crisis is essential.
14 Month Contract Position, 35 hours per week. Job candidates will be asked to provide a satisfactory vulnerable persons police clearance within 3 months of hire date.
December 14, 2018 to approximately March 9, 2020
SSG-8 $45,127. – $54,892., dependent on experience
