London Automatic Door, an affiliated company of Glass Canada, is currently seeking an Overhead Door Technician experienced in both residential and commercial overhead doors to add to our team of professionals.

Repair automatic and manual doors at customer's facility or home
Install and service commercial and residential garage doors
Create and maintain relationships with customers
Have knowledge and understanding of welding and welding defects
General welding work including field repairs
Read manuals and use resources to correctly perform repairs for different brands of doors serviced
Use welding techniques to assist with operations and repairs
Maintain inventory on company service vehicle in order to effectively perform service calls
Monitor vehicle for potential service issues and report them to management
Rotate the afterhours phone between other employees and respond to emergency calls
Work efficiently in small teams to complete daily tasks and assignments
Remain in contact with the Service Administrator daily
Assist Project Manager with other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum 2 years experience installing and repairing overhead doors
Must have a valid G class driver's license
Excellent electromechanical repair skills
Strong communication and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willing and able to work on a rotating on-call schedule when required
Valid fall arrest and lift tickets considered an asset
Travel on a daily basis using the company service vehicle
Ability to work overtime and be on call as needed
Working at heights
Rate of pay will depend on experience and qualifications.
