Job Description

London and St. Thomas Association of REALTORS® is currently seeking a permanent full time  IT Manager. This position is responsible for monitoring, supporting and maintaining LSTAR’s computer systems and network infrastructure and supporting our MLS® System. The successful candidate will support LSTAR staff and our membership, ensuring all systems, applications and networks are secure and operating at peak performance levels.
 
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
 
  • Provide desk-side support to office co-workers when other support is not available
  • Evaluate/recommend hardware/software for purchase or upgrade
  • Other related duties may be assigned at discretion
  • Support the Education Department
  • Provide technical leadership and a solid technology plan for the future
  • Ensuring technology compliance to governing regulations
  • Administer RETS agreements, facilitate feeds and provide support regarding RETS and the standards to members and external developers
  • Responsible for understanding all of the Association’s information systems
  • Act as a liaison between IT and other departments
  • Manage all IT related projects, ensuring adequate scheduling of resources, testing, education and change management
  • Assist with Clareity support
  • Build and maintain relationships with peers and industry vendors
  • Maintain and administer computer systems, including servers/desktops/laptops hardware, systems software, applications software
  • Monitor, maintain and administer networks to ensure optimal availability and redundancy of networked resources (Internet access, Remote Desktop Services, VPNs and VLANS)
  • Administer Windows Server Active Directory, Group Policy, WSUS, DNS, and DHCP, IIS, RDS, MS SQL Server
  • Monitor and analyze system logs on all servers and devices
  • Monitor, maintain and administer network security/security policies
  • Audit systems for compliance with industry standards including PCI-DSS
  • Perform regular data backups / backup verification procedures
  • Maintain logs related to backups, configuration changes, maintenance and repairs
  • Troubleshoot/diagnose/resolve general hardware and software problems
  • Evaluate/Recommend hardware/software for purchase or upgrade

       Technical
  • Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • 3-5 years experience supporting, maintaining and updating desktops and servers in a production office environment running on a variety of OS platforms (Windows, Apple OS X and Linux OS)
  • 3-5 years implementing, maintaining and supporting Windows Servers to provide Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS (Internet Information Services), RDS(Remote Desktop Services)
  • 2-3 years experience supporting and maintaining a Microsoft SQL server environment
  • 2-3 years experience administering, troubleshooting and supporting TCP/IP networks
  • Excellent knowledge and experience administering the VMware ESXi virtualization platform.  Experience with other virtualization platforms such as KVM, Xen, Virtualbox or Hyper-V are an asset.
  • Well rounded general knowledge of hardware, security and communications principles.
  • Experience with Amazon AWS, Google Suite, GIT, VB/C#, Node.js, Python, HTML, MySQL and SQLite an asset
  • Experience with Real Estate Transactions Services (RETS), supporting a Multiple Listings Service (MLS)® System, knowledge of real estate brokerage front office systems and of organized real estate, are all definite assets
     
    Working Conditions
  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 7 hours per day, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.  Occasional attendance outside of these hours may be required for implementation/support/repair of critical business systems at association related functions/events.
  • Some travel required
  • Must be able to lift a maximum of 40 lbs.
