Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Marketing Associate is to assist in all functions of the planning and execution of Teen Challenge's marketing strategy, primarily in the area of online /print marketing, copy writing and brand development. The Marketing Associate is responsible for assisting in conceptualization and subsequent creation of organizational marketing campaigns, ensuring the efficacy of online / social media presence, oversight of print and bindery production, assistance with planning, development and execution of annual direct mail and sponsorship strategy, the execution of promotional materials across all marketing channels (print, web, video, social media, e-commerce, etc.).

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Produce creative and persuasive copy
  • Build upon current branding and further brand development of Teen Challenge Canada
  • Assist in the conceptualization and creation of organizational marketing campaigns
  • Communicate effectively and coordinate with co-workers and business partners
  • Collect and analyze date from market research to generate appropriate marketing tools
  • Keep up-to-date on current marketing trends
  • Prioritize and schedule workload to ensure timely completion
  • Prepare draft reports, background documentation, and research
  • Provide assistance with advertising and promotional material, communication strategy, market research, product management, product development, sourcing and all other aspects related to marketing
  • Coordinate and work closely with local vendors
  • Coordinate branding of all marketing correspondence and Partner Service communications.
  • Design, implement, support and facilitate marketing campaigns for the organization; assisting with the process with internal stakeholders to develop the overall marketing concept for each campaign
  • Create, maintain and constantly look to improve organizational production processes
  • Provide internal marketing expertise and talent in the areas of print, websites, email, social media and online advertising
  • Develop and track measurements to accurately determine the effectiveness of advertising campaigns
  • Provide e-administration coordination and support, including Webmaster tasks, web coding, web content changes and maintenance, analytics/reporting, best practice research, design needs required for online marketing
  • Help drive social media initiatives by monitoring trends, tools and applications in the industry, and assessing the impact of social media on our overall marketing efforts
  • Provide assistance to the following activities: monthly donor mailings on behalf of all Centres across Canada, newsletters and update mailings, develop of marketing materials and graphics for special events, managing e-correspondence and e-commerce, supervise national and regional websites, and ensure communication related to marketing initiatives
  • Ensure all quality control documentation is utilized and completed
  • Correspondence with contract designers and writers for outsourced projects
  • Assist with print and bindery when needed
  • University degree or college diploma in marketing or related field
  • 3 years' experience in marketing related role
  • Valid driver’s License Class G
  • Strong working knowledge of marketing principles
  • Demonstrated understanding of consumer behaviours
  • Proven design/layout ability using InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator is an asset
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript & PHP is an asset
  • Highly creative and versatile.

Working Conditions
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
  • Lifting or moving up to 25 lbs may be required
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
  • The atmosphere may vary from a calm to a fast paced setting depending on daily events
  • Operate office equipment including photocopier, fax machine, scanner, phone and other equipment as necessary
