Job Description

Founded in 1986, The Sansin Corporation is a global leader in environmentally-friendly wood protection, focused on creating the best performing, most beautiful water-borne wood finishes in the world.
Sansin is currently seeking a full-time Payables Associate to join our team in Strathroy on a permanent basis.  Position details are as follows: 
Reporting to the Controller, the Payables Associate has primary responsibilities for managing and executing the accounts payable and customer invoicing processes.  The Associate also participates in Accounting team tasks and duties.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the accounts payable process:
    • Process all supplier invoices and other payments.  Maintain related ledgers.
    • Present payments for approval and manage the release of payments.
    • Maintain process documentation, performance metrics, and lead process improvements.
    • Communicate regularly and pro-actively with suppliers.
    • Act as process expert.  Provide guidance and coaching to others.  
  • Process customer invoices and related activities:
    • Prepare and post sales invoices.
    • Prepare and organize EDI invoicing for appropriate customers.
    • Issue special Promotional communications to customers
  • Provide lead processing of employee expense reports.  
  • Perform other general accounting team tasks, as required.

Competencies and Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Sage 50, or similar accounting software.
  • Data entry accuracy and speed. 
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy and complex environment.
  • Strong ability to work well with others.
  • Prompt and dependable. 
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills. 

Education and Experience Required:

  • College diploma in Finance or other business-related discipline
  • 5 plus years of related accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Schedule:  40 hours a week, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday
