Job Description

We have an outstanding opportunity for an HR Manager to join our team.  This role is responsible for providing HR services to both our Head Office and our branches across Canada.  While this position will have all HR related responsibilities, there are two main areas of focus. 
  • We require an experienced hands-on HR professional who is able to facilitate a consistent interpretation of human resource policies, programs and guidelines throughout our head office and various branches by building strong relationships with branch managers.
  • We require someone who is able to provide expertise in recruiting for both our head office as well as for our branches throughout Canada.

  • Ability to provide strong and consistent branding of HR company wide.
  • Provide expertise in creating and developing all recruiting tools.  Is actively involved in the recruitment process from job postings to final selection of candidates.
  • Participates in operational meetings on a regular basis to understand the business requirements and offer solutions and programs for human resources needs.
  • Provides guidance to all employees in the interpretation and application of Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Foster and develop positive employee relations.
  • Provide proactive coaching and support to management on performance related issues.
  • Lead and implement special projects as required.
  • Responsible for employee benefits and overseeing payroll.

  • Degree/Diploma in Human Resources with 2-3 years in a HR Management role with at least 7years related work experience as a HR generalist.  
  • Experience in dealing with off-site management and employees is preferred.
  • CHRP designation.
  • Knowledge of recruitment, employee development, performance management, compensation, benefits, policy development and implementation, employment and human rights legislation.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation, group facilitation and business writing skills.
  • Proven ability to provide leadership, direction, coaching, and support.
  • Adept at developing and aligning HR strategies to support business initiatives and growth.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of time.
