Accounting Coordinator
32-40 hr/week
1-year Renewable Contract

$41,000 - $45,000 Annual Salary

Synergy Tax & Business Solutions Inc. is a Bookkeeping and Business Consulting company located in London, Ontario. We work with a wide range of clients to facilitate their bookkeeping, reporting, taxes, business consulting and planning support.

We are currently expanding with an opening for an Accounting Coordinator position. This position will be on-site with the client. Full availability during the following weekday business hours is required: 7am-3pm (June-August); 8am-4pm (September-May).
The successful candidate will be responsible for full cycle bookkeeping in a fast-paced environment. Organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality are crucial in all areas of our bookkeeping and accounting, communications, correspondence, and records.

Job Description
The Accounting Coordinator position is a one-year renewable contract position for 32-40 hours per week. There will be a three-month probationary period with job review as this is a role that will grow within the company on a long-term basis.
He/she will be responsible for account management requiring intermediate to advanced knowledge in:
  • File Review and Analysis
  • Entry of A/P and A/R, including collections calls
  • Invoicing
  • Inventory reconciliations and management (Fish Bowl)
  • Reconciliations of multiple bank and credit card accounts
  • Preparing weekly AP cheque runs
  • Bank Deposits
  • Payroll
  • Weekly and Monthly Reporting
  • GST/HST and other provincial RST remittance (calculations, filings and payments)
  • Source Deductions and Remittances
  • WSIB
Multi-tasking and time management is vital in this position. The successful candidate will be expected to work on multiple company files simultaneously.

Experience and Qualifications
  • College or University graduate in bookkeeping, accounting or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience in a supervisor, managerial or other advanced role
  • Further education in professional accounting encouraged and supported for the appropriate candidate
  • Advanced to Expert QuickBooks Online is vital
  • Intermediate to Advanced experience with Microsoft Dynamics
  • Superior knowledge of other common computer programs, MS Office incl. Excel, Outlook, & Word, Dropbox, Google G-Suite.
