Electrical Engineer (P.Eng.)

Full Time, Permanent

What You'll Be Doing
  • Developing and maintaining a detailed understanding of protection, control, and metering integrated solutions for utility/generation applications and markets
  • Working with a multidisciplinary technical team to develop conceptual designs, estimates, and proposals
  • Performing system field research, analysis with studies, specifications, detailed technical design, development/fabrication, site installation, commissioning and reports
  • Training technical staff, strategic clients and following/improving application process for quality deliverables both on time and on budget
  • Act as primary client and subcontractors contact/interface for technical and project management, ensuring overall quality assurance and success
  • Supporting and acting as backup divisional manager to mentor and lead staff
  • Generating reports for management monitoring of internal and external projects
 
What We're Looking For
  • An P.Eng (Electrical) licensed in Ontario with a minimum 8 years knowledge/experience of integrated electrical power systems protection relays, RTUs/PLCs/HMIs, design and development for turn-key solutions
  • Proficiency with SEL RTAC, Schneider/Modicon and GE PLCs with DNP3/Modbus communications
  • Experience with HMI screens layout with graphics, alarming, and historian reporting requirements
  • Knowledge of transformer, substations and generating stations with distribution operations integration
  • Excellent project team leadership skills, technical adapting, speaking and writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail, high degree of accuracy in work, and organizational skills, especially under tight deadlines
  • Self-motivation to learn new skills, assume new responsibilities, and a good attitude
