We are currently recruiting for Hand Pack positions to work in our Packaging department as part of our McFlex Casual Workforce, which includes part-time hours - perfect for students!

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Hand pack cinnamon sticks, bay leaves, and other smaller items into packages
  • Ensure efficiency standards are maintained
  • Responsible for assembling packages into cases
  • Ensure proper weights, codes and packaging requirements are maintained
  • Label bags or cartons as necessary
  • Demonstrate excellent understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Proper and throrough cleaning of work station for sanitation purposes
  • Complete necessary daily reports
  • Follow safety procedures, GMP, and HACCP procedures
  • Participate in our high-performance teams

Required Qualifications:

  • OSSD diploma or equivalent and successful passing of pre-employment qualification testing
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to safely perform physical work, including, pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting up to 50lbs repetitively
  • Ability to safely work in a dusty and wet environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to respond to changing priorities and fluctuating workloads with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work overtime, pre-shift and weekends when required
