Job Description

  • Reports to the CEO and COO
  • Assist in the preparation of English and Mandarin print and online collateral including but not limited to, brochures, reports, newsletters, videos and other forms of marketing and recruitment media
  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns and activities to prospective clientele in China
  • Advise upon and deliver sales strategies and promotional materials
  • Gather, research and prepare communications and marketing products to prospective clientele in China
  • Develop, implement and present training material to Mandarin-speaking agents, counsellors and students
  • Collaborate and correspond with Chinese students, agents and counsellors as it pertains to program applications and inquiries
  • Develop, conduct and deliver surveys to key groups and stakeholders
  • Prepare, oversee and support preparation of reports, presentations, online presence, posters and press-releases in English and Mandarin
  • Coordinate with partner schools to gather feedback and presentation data
  • Develop and organize workshops, meeting and events for prospective and existing students, partners, agents and counsellors in China and North America
  • Act as primary contact for CultureWorks for Chinese written and oral inquiries
  • Gather feedback, recommend strategies, communicate and implement changes to processes to partners, key groups and stakeholders
  • Initiate, liaise and maintain collaboration with internal and external groups and university partners
  • Ensure accuracy of all student academic records and communicate issues on a timely basis
  • Coordinate with agents, partner schools and internal groups as it pertains to recruitment and student activities
  • Provide on-the-ground support to Operations and Leadership teams in China and CultureWorks HQ as required, including interpretation, site support and logistics for scheduled events
  • Utilize WeChat and other social media platforms in Mandarin and English to engage and manage communications, with flexibility to accommodate varying time zones
  • Travel to China and partner sites as needed
  • Honours Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or other business degree
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken
  • 2-3 years public and customer relations experience related to students, education consultants, agents and university groups;
  • Experience in marketing activities including preparation of brochures, posters, presentations, etc.
  • Team player who is able to collaborate and build strong working relationships with colleagues, partners and clients
  • Self-directed and able to manage competing priorities and work within high-pressure situations and deadlines
  • Ability to effectively communicate with culturally diverse groups
  • Proficiency in G-suite and Microsoft Suite required
  • Proficiency with Zoom and WeChat to communicate and deliver presentations
  • Experience in launching activities and programs
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong partnerships with senior leaders and industry experts, including C-suite executives
  • First-hand experience in the Canadian education sector
  • First-hand experience in the Chinese education sector is an asset
  • Previous study in an EAP program in Canada is an asset
  • Fluency in Cantonese, Shanghainese, Fuzhou or other languages is an asset
