External Relations Assistant
Within a matrix operating structure, the External Relations Assistant works with Fund Development and Communications & Marketing team members to provide fundraising support including gift processing, prospect and donor research, assistance with fundraising initiatives, donor recognition and stewardship. The Assistant will also provide general administrative support to the VP, External Relations and additional administrative support to the team. Working collaboratively with the External Relations team, the incumbent must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to support strategic organizational goals.
Post-secondary education in fund development, non-profit studies, business administration, communication, public relations and/ or a related discipline or equivalent experience
Minimum four years’ experience in office administration, preferably in the area(s) of development, including hands-on experience with fundraising database Raiser’s Edge
Experience doing internet research, synthesizing information and producing reports
Experience with prospect research
Experience with electronic records and database programs
Administrative skills and experience, including data mining and data entry
Bilingual (English and French) an asset
This is a full-time 15-month contract, which includes benefits and is located in our office in London, Ontario.
