Job Description


Reporting to the General Manager and AGM, Craft Property Group is looking for a Maintenance Manager to oversee and coordinate the day-to-day maintenance of the property. The ideal candidate must present a superior level of service and experience for our residents. The candidate will have a maintenance background in Property Management, Student Housing and/or Hospitality and skills in all of the basic trades. The candidate must be organized, efficient, and hardworking. Using technology for organizing and communicating with the rest of the staff and tenants will be important. Salary can potentially be negotiated based on experience. The building has hundreds of tenants and the candidate must be able to effectively prioritize time.


The roles and responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for ensuring facilities and grounds are maintained at a level of
  • Regular monitoring of equipment to ensure safe operation, maintenance and repair of all
  • Prioritize work orders and coordinate efficient
  • Liaise with outside contractors to ensure cost-effective repair and
  • Maintain accurate records and update maintenance
  • Conduct walk-throughs and
  • Establish preventative maintenance schedules and conduct necessary
  • Regular communication with the General Manager regarding work orders, inspections, concerns, safety issues
  • Conduct building repairs including in suites, common areas, mechanical
  • Coordinate the regular testing of life safety
  • Liaises with outside testing and inspection companies to meet city and government
  • Consult on health and safety standards and ensure
  • Implement the suite inspection
  • Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of all areas of the building and
  • Obtain and review service
  • Ensure all aspects of the maintenance program are compliant with the Residential Tenancies Act as well as the processes and policies established by the General Manager.
  • Regular communication with the General Manager and AGM
  • Ability to use technology for communication and organization
  • Submit all necessary reports and documents in a timely manner
