Job Description

Position: Experienced Full-time Real Estate Law Clerk
Hours: Monday- Friday; 8:30am-5:00pm.
Office: Located in the heart of Downtown London across from the Courthouse.
The following are the duties and responsibilities to be performed by the Employee:
  • Direct and coordinate law office activity, including opening and closing the office, delivery of subpoenas, and serving documents;
  • Opening, organizing and managing files; maintain the ledger, manage outstanding accounts, and account for financial transactions of the practice (Use of PC Law, Clio, Conveyancer, etc.)
  • Prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, contracts, and real estate closing statements;
  • Prepare affidavits or other documents, maintain document file, summarize briefs, assemble documentary evidence, prepare trial briefs, arrange for trials, and file pleadings with the court clerk;
  • Appraise and inventory real and personal property for estate planning;
  • Assist lawyers by interviewing clients, witnesses and other related parties;
  • Prepare real estate transactions and other legal documents;
  • Manage all undertakings and refusals;
  • Transcribe documents;
  • Manage timelines; and
  • General office duties.
