As the Market Research & Strategic Analyst you conduct both primary and secondary research on our competitive environment, our target markets and the technological ecosystem where Media Sonar plays, delivering research findings and insights to aid leadership strategic planning and support business decisions. You have a natural curiosity when it comes to asking questions and understanding data and you are enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where your work directly contributes to the company’s achievement of strategic goals. This position reports to the VP of Product Management.
What we’d like you to do:
Conduct primary and/or secondary market research focused on customers, competitors and markets
Research, report and provide real-time market feedback on opportunities and threats related to market conditions and/or changes in the industry
Develop a deep understanding of our target markets core responsibilities, top priorities, and key challenges
Learn both business problems and end-user problems and share insight internally to support both product development and sales efforts
Share insight with product development function to help ensure that product enhancements will solve target market needs and that the need being solved is of high enough value to the prospect to warrant the purchase of the platform
Conduct research to understand MST competitive environment at a business level, product level, and at the feature level
Provide competitive insight and clear internal deliverables to support leadership decision-making with pricing, product roadmap, positioning, etc.
Research and understand emerging trends, challenges and best practices in target markets’ industries
Provide internal training and written insight to help guide product strategy, product development, and marketing communications
Deliver internal training sessions and tools to provide each department with the information they need to achieve department goals
Aid Marketing Department in their content marketing efforts and help to develop insightful, relevant content for Demand Generation program and customer engagement initiatives

You should be someone who is/has:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field
3+ years of related experience
Passion for research and data analysis
Strong understanding of data management as well as analyzing the business impact of key KPIs
Experience using quantitative and qualitative methods to solve meaningful problems and to identify customer/business insights
Proven ability to synthesize analyses from large data sets and design and generate impactful reports
Demonstrated time-management and organization skills with the ability to prioritize
Project management skills
A high degree of critical thinking
Ability to work in a fast-changing, deadline-driven environment
Highly collaborative with an ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Strong oral and written communication skills with experience leading presentations in front of individuals, groups and senior management
