  1. Support company policies and procedures related to environmental health and safety legislation, regulations, requirements and industry best practices.
  2. Participate in the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
  3. Complete monthly workplace inspection, participate in safety meetings and committee activities.
  4. Liaison between all departments and management health and safety projects, directives and initiatives created through company safety system.
  5. Deliver training programs to promote workplace health and safety, new employee orientation, safety talks, equipment lock out, etc.
  6. Participate and complete investigation process, corrective actions and reporting.
  7. Assist and support environmental processes and projects for continual improvement of the ISO 14001 management system.
  8. Respond to environmental, waste management and environmental emergency inquiries and tasks.
  9. Comply with company policies and procedures supporting the quality management system, environmental management system and health and safety.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

  1. Minimum of one to two years of experience in environmental health and safety role in a manufacturing environment
  2. Development of training materials and presentations
  3. Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving and facilitation skills
  4. Good computer skills
  5. University degree or college diploma or equivalent
  6. WSIB JHSC Part 1 and Part 2 certification, an asset
  7. First Aid and CPR Certified, an asset
