Pursuit Health Management is a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation company, located in London, Ontario, providing services to clients who have sustained an injury, disability or long term illness. As a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant, you will work with other health care providers (physicians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, etc) and community resources, to assist our clients with a re-entry into the labour market.
You will conduct vocational rehabilitation assessments to establish appropriate interventions which facilitate a return to the labour market for clients. Your knowledge of medical conditions and associated impairments, in addition to thoroughly understanding a client’s skills, abilities, aptitudes and interests, enables you to professionally establish a treatment plan that achieves positive outcomes.
Your in-depth knowledge of community services, healthcare providers, local employment resources, educational institutions and the labour market will provide your clients with comprehensive planning and career direction assistance. Your experience allows for effective and efficient coordination and the ability to professionally support the client through their vocational exploration stages. Connecting clients with timely supports, from professional vocational testing to job search and employment skills development is critical. Cost effective solutions that achieve outstanding results for your clients is what drives you to succeed.
Professionally written reports capture your objective findings, reflect the needs of your client and identify the required supports necessary to achieve labour market re-entry. Your strong communication skills ensure that all stakeholders quickly grasp the relevant issues and are aware of your treatment planning.

Strong relationship building skills, coupled with the ability to anticipate customer needs, positions you as a vocational expert that is in demand. You are able to comfortably interact with a myriad of professionals including physicians, psychologists, insurers, lawyers and healthcare professionals.

Strong oral and written communication skills to interact with clients, team members and healthcare providers in a caring, approachable, and objective manner.
Knowledge and experience of the case management process - assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Knowledge and experience with third party environment i.e., referral process for vocational testing, specialist referrals, functional assessments, etc.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask
Ability to adhere to established policies, guidelines and instructions.
Conflict management/problem solving skills.
Willingness to travel throughout London and area
University Degree/Community College Diploma is required
Three years of case management experience is preferred
Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP) designation is an asset
