Job Description

  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, for a portfolio of residential and commercial properties.
  • Provide financial and analytical assistance to Property Managers
  • Effectively communicate financial information to Management
  • Preparing of GST/HST returns and Non-Resident Tax forms
  • Prepare and Input the annual budget figures into accounting software, ensuring accuracy of data entry
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Reviewing of narrative component of monthly reports ensuring accuracy of information
  • Preparing of monthly owner distributions using cash-flow spreadsheet
  • Year-end audit compilation and reviews
  • Any other duties as assigned

Preferred candidate would have (or be pursuing)
  • An accounting designation or working towards their designation
  • Minimum of 1-3 years business experience preferably property accounting experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with an approachable manner.
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent computer skills, specifically with Excel.  Experience with Yardi an asset.
