Craigwood Youth Services is a fully accredited not-for-profit child, youth and family mental health centre providing a variety of innovative youth serving programs with locations in London and Ailsa Craig.   Qualified applicants are invited to apply for the following position:

Supervisor Community Mental Health Treatment Services

Craigwood is a dynamic and well-established Mental Health service provider with a reputation for providing premium mental health services for the London & Surrounding Areas. 

We are searching for a dynamic, motivated individual to fill this very important position.  The
Supervisor of Community Mental Health Treatment Services shall report directly to the Director of Services.  This highly skilled and emotionally intelligent professional shall lead our Intensive Family Home-based service, Walk-In & Community Mental Health Counselling, Day Treatment, Community Treatment Groups, after school Respite and our Crisis/Intake service. 

Job Duties
  • Development of the agency’s evidence based/informed, culturally competent Walk-In counseling and Community Mental Health counseling services
  • Promotes the treatment of clients within the context of their family/support system and facilitates involvement of appropriate parties
  • Oversees clinical assessments, intervention and discharge plans
  • Oversees the admission process and assignment of clients for community programs
  • Implements quality assurance activities, ensuring program and staff compliance with regulatory, community and performance standards, evidence informed practices, and accreditation standards
  • Ensures that all documentation is completed in accordance with regulations and agency policies
  • Provides clinical and administrative supervision for all staff who provide services in Community Mental Health Treatment Services, including regulated professionals (Master’s level clinicians) and non-regulated professionals
  • Nurtures Inter-professional teamwork and an adaptable and responsive clinical team that provides professional and advanced clinical knowledge across the organization
  • Provides ongoing consultation and support, skill assessment, development and performance management including performance appraisals
  • Oversees student field placements
  • Facilitates and promotes a positive communication process for internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversees the collection and management of data for research, statistical reporting and evaluation purposes
  • As a member of the Management Team participates in a variety of activities such as program reviews, recruitment and youth initiatives.

Required & Essential qualifications:
  • A Masters’ Degree in Social Work or other relevant disciplines
  • Current member in good standing with applicable regulatory body
  • 5 years’ clinical experience, preferably in the Children’s Mental Health sector
  • 2 years’ experience in a clinical supervisory role
  • Demonstrated experience in program development, evaluation and change management
  • Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, leadership, clinical, organization, oral and written communication skills, and computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience and knowledge of the following models and practices:  Attachment Based Family therapies, Trauma Informed Therapy, family preservation, Multi-Systemic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, solution-focused and brief counseling approaches, cognitive-behavioral treatment; individual, family and group modalities
  • Experience and knowledge in service delivery from an equity, inclusion, diversity and anti-racism, anti-oppression (ARAO) approach
  • Experience in leading and supervising a unionized setting
