Job Description

The Assistant Site Supervisor will assist the Site Supervisor during construction activities that take place on the worksite/project. Involved in the supervision of sub-contractors/sub-trades, suppliers, labourers and any other workers on the project(s). 


  • Work within the requirements of Foxwood Building Corporation's Health & Safety Policy and the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Ensure that all workers work within the requirements of Foxwood Building Corporation's Health & Safety Policy and the Occupational Health & Safety Act and additionally monitor on-site health & safety in day-to-day operations and workplace inspections.
  • Be diligent in his/her conduct while representing Foxwood Building Corporation.
  • Assist in meeting construction deadlines and outlined budgets.
  • Aid in construction project results by defining project schedules, resources required, coordination of staff/workers, coordination of sub-contractors and suppliers, etc.
  • Maintain a high level of staff and worker morale by modelling sound leadership and teamwork.
  • Prevent fines and interruptions by complying with and enforcing codes.
  • Schedule delivery of needed materials and labour requirements.
  • Trouble-shoot and identify construction problems and offer timely & safe solutions.
  • Manage tool and material inventory on the project. Ensure unused materials are accounted for and credited as necessary.
  • Complete necessary reports and attend construction & sales meetings as required.
  • Schedule building inspections as necessary and promptly.
  • Conduct accident and incident investigations.
  • Obtain and maintain a valid First Aid and CPR certificate of training is an asset.
  • Obtain and maintain other required training certificates as required.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Other duties as required.


  • Minimum of 5 years previous experience in a related position.
  • Additional experience in customer service/maintenance is considered an asset.
  • Additional experience in construction supervision is considered an asset.
  • Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills related to the position. (Ability to communicate effectively with staff, sub-trades and homeowners).
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and project specifications.
  • Ability to use computer programs related to the position. (i.e. Microsoft Office).
  • Valid Ontario class G drivers’ license.
  • Provide own transportation to and from work.
  • Provide own basic tools required for duties outlined above or as directed by Foxwood Building Corporatio

The annual salary range is $55,000 to $70,000. Benefits after 3 months probation.
