We are seeking applications for the permanent full-time position of Claims Adjuster.
POSITION SUMMARY The successful candidate will be responsible for handling Multi-Line claims with a focus in Accident Benefits. This will be a fast-paced environment where your professionalism, accuracy and efficiency will be key to your success in juggling multiple competing tasks. This position is located in Exeter with a hybrid work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze and interpret insurance policy wording to determine coverage and evaluate entitlements that are fair and equitable.
Communicate in a timely and respectful manner with customers, claimants, lawyers and insurers to settle claims.
Conduct investigations.
Ensure all claims are clearly documented and that legislative requirements are met.
Handle claims as per company protocols and timelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of claims handling experience.
A college diploma or a university degree is an asset.
Preference for those with experience includes work in the insurance industry, or working towards your Chartered Insurance Professional Designation (CIP).
An ability to demonstrate strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
