Job Summary: . The Information Resource Coordinator will be responsible for the hard copy and digital resources at Nokee Kwe. They will review, and update resources as required, and create processes for access. They will meet and greet individuals/groups coming into Nokee Kwe to access resources and will support them with utilizing these resources. They will make recommendations for resources, collaborate with other community agencies for resources, and create a resource list with contact information, and timelines for updates. They will assist with reviewing, and where necessary, updating formal referral processes with community agencies, and review/update digital and hard copy file to ensure file integrity.

Essential Job Functions:
- Attend program, staff and annual general meetings when required
- Participate in cross-training as required
- Attend and complete required training/professional development
Client Service:
- Meet and greet new and returning individuals and groups into the centre and provide appropriate resource information
- Provide “light touch” services to these individuals and groups, including other employers and community agencies
- Develop and maintain working relationships with all Nokee Kwe staff and stakeholders
- Support, advise, and provide information to individuals in the resource centre that will enable them to set goals, do career research, utilize resources at and away from Nokee Kwe, and make decisions
Teamwork:
- Attend and actively participate in case conferences and team meetings
- Work with select staff to conduct a needs assessment for volunteers and create a strategic plan for volunteer recruitment
- Work with select Nokee Kwe teams to implement this strategy and assist with volunteer recruitment
Communication:
- Determine appropriate community resource information required to assist individuals and/or groups with their employment and educational goal
- Provide up-to-date communications to Nokee Kwe department heads regarding resources and clients served
- Provide information on Nokee Kwe programs and services to individuals and groups, sometimes without prior preparation
Digital:
- Establish and administer physical and computer systems for cataloguing, displaying, updating and controlling usage of resources
- Contribute data to an existing system in order to track aggregate resource centre data
- Review digital files for data integrity and revise where needed
Leadership:
- Determine the collection of materials by researching and assessing changes and developments in the job market, educational institutions, and community agencies. From this input, assist senior management with decisions regarding what materials are needed, search out sources, and acquire new resources
- Take responsibility for the resource center and its’ services to clients, staff, students and the community
- Advise and assist staff in recommending/developing/implementing new programming based on feedback from the resource centre consumers

Educational and Experiential Requirements:
- post –secondary degree/diploma in a related field (e.g.,Social Work, Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Library Science, CDPC)
