We currently have an open position for an individual to join our Advisory Services Team as an Associate.
We offer an experience that lends to getting your CPA but it gets you there with a path that is unique to the traditional accounting position. You will be doing work that has a forensic accounting angle to it. No file will be the same and no day will be the same!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Effectively communicate with insurance adjusters, claimants and lawyers
Gather and review financial information to support loss claims
Accurately prepare loss quantification calculations
Prepare detailed written reports for adjusters and lawyers
Conduct research and collect statistics from applicable sources
Apply current accounting knowledge where necessary
Set priorities in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum college level accounting program
Considering pursuing an accounting designation – and would like to do so outside of the conventional External Audit path
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Proficient in MS Office
The ability to be a responsible team member who works for the benefit of their team
Experience preparing financial statements and personal income tax returns is an asset
French speaking is an asset
