Course Materials Coordinator


Ivey Publishing

Reports to:

Director, Ivey Publishing


To produce and procure professional, high quality, custom-designed casebooks and teaching materials in response to requirements of faculty and/or program managers for designated degree and executive development courses. This production must be both timely and accurate in order to facilitate the professional presentation of the Ivey’s programs and Ivey.


  1. Ensure teaching materials for all assigned programs are produced accurately, produced on time, comply with copyright regulations, and meet high quality standards.
  2. Provide high-quality service (professional, prompt, courteous) to all Ivey Publishing customers via telephone, in person, or through written communications to facilitate the use of Ivey Publishing material and services.
  3. Accurately calculate charges, in a timely manner, for products and services, and arrange for invoicing and payment for same in order to capture the appropriate revenues for Ivey Publishing.
  4. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the Ivey Publishing usage database for assigned programs in order to develop royalty reports, future market data, and promotion and tenure data.


  • University degree
  • Minimum of five years relevant experience (customer service, order entry, etc.)
  • Positive work attitude with experience managing projects as part of a team and independently
  • Experience and eagerness to provide superior customer service and demonstrate professionalism under stress
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal) to deal positively with suppliers, customers and colleagues
  • Ability to meet competing deadlines with limited advance notice while maintaining quality standards
  • Strong attention to detail and capacity to produce high quality course materials
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients (faculty, programs offices, colleagues, and vendors)
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, Internet skills, and experience with the use of information technology and database applications (Experience using Adobe Photoshop and desktop publishing software such as Quark XPress or Adobe InDesign is an asset)
  • Balance multiple priorities in a busy environment
  • Experience working on ad hoc projects while continuing to perform regular duties
  • Ability to coordinate the many details required in the production of case packages, ensuring that accuracy and quality standards are met
  • Possess knowledge of copyright regulations and the publishing industry (desired)

Location: Ivey Publishing, UWO Research Park, London, Ontario

This is a 2 year renewable contract position with full benefits.
