Job Description

STIHL Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of ANDREAS STIHL AG & Co. KG in Germany, is a leader in the distribution of chain saws and handheld outdoor power equipment in Canada.  We have an immediate opening at our London head office for a full-time Credit Supervisor.  

The key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Supervise a staff of two Credit Administrators
  • Manage and foster the business relationships with more than 900 full-service dealers
  • Consistent review and analysis of dealer accounts
  • Work closely  with STIHL Regional Managers regarding any credit issues
  • Oversee the  sales order release and cash application processes
  • Assist team with collection calls and application of cash receipts during vacation and peak volumes
  • Review and approve new dealer applications
  • Handle telephone and email enquiries from our dealer network in a timely manner
  • Prepare various reports on a monthly basis
  • Prepare for and participate in monthly Credit Department meetings
  • Provide excellent customer service

 Skills & Qualifications include:

  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline
  • Basic understanding of credit related legislation
  • Ability to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive matters
  • A minimum of 8  years of credit experience
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations while maintaining a cordial, positive approach
  • Ability to make tough decisions at times
  • Comfortable balancing the needs of various operational departments when making decisions
  • A minimum of 4 years supervisory experience in a Credit Department
  • Exceptional skills with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a busy environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and versatility are essential
