Parts Counterperson

Location: St. Thomas

Position Type: Full-Time Permanent

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for sourcing and sales of all parts and accessories to existing and prospective customers through exceptional service
  • Recommending parts required based on customer information.
  • Looking up and locating parts in inventory or ordering parts from suppliers.
  • Generating quotes and completing orders as per customer requests.
  • Negotiating key sales issues and handling objections as required.
  • Assisting customers post sale with any warranty and/or service needs.
  • Explaining warranty coverage to customers (as applicable).
  • Answering and making sales calls as needed.
  • Loading and unloading parts deliveries
  • Checking all load related documents to ensure shipments are complete and accurate
  • Maintain retail sales floor to meet dealership standards and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Take a pro-active approach to inventory control by assisting and/or reporting discrepancies
  • Assist in accurately receipting and unpacking parts to keep stock in proper locations
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner
  • Selling and answering customer questions on Stihl and Honda equipment

Qualifications

  • 2 years previous experience in similar position with a high degree of product knowledge.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and fellow co-workers.
  • Knowledge of Agriculture preferred
  • Must possess good written and strong verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work flexible and extended hours during planting and harvest seasons
