Job Description

The Senior Accounting position is a full-time hourly position (40hr to 44hrs per week) working in the Finance & Accounting Department in London, ON. For the ideal candidate a salaried position could be negotiated.

This department consists of 5 other staff members, all reporting to the CFO.  The ideal candidate, subject to the requisite experience and qualifications, may supervise other accounting staff. Superior inter-personal skill sets and exception communication skills both written and verbal are essential.

Employer will be FCFP, however work involves accounting and finance services for all corporations within the FCFP Group. Operations include branch/divisional accounting, multi-jurisdictional locations, and multi-currency (primarily USD) with reliance upon technology for settlement of all financial obligations.

Candidate will be responsible for general bookkeeping and accounting disciplines including but not limited to the following tasks:


  • Drafting of monthly internal financial statements which includes branch/divisional reporting
  • Processing and/or review and/or supervision of all books/records of first entry
  • Reconciling of all bank accounts
  • Calculation and electronic remittance of all taxes
  • Superior knowledge of HST, GST, PST & Corporate tax
  • Backup for Canadian Payroll Administrator


  • Minimum 10 years of accounting experience
  • Extensive ERP knowledge and experience.
  • AccPac (SAGE 300 ERP) knowledge advantageous
  • Prior experience in the Construction Industry an asset
  • Full knowledge of and experience in all aspects of Canadian Payroll
  • Superior knowledge of IT, Office Suite, incl. Excel, Outlook, & Word
