Columbia Sportswear Canada LP is seeking a Product Merchandising Intern for a 6 month contract.

The Product Merchandising Intern will assist the product team, on a full or part time basis, by aiding in the execution of the Go-To-Market plan. This includes preparation of sales tools to aid in account presentations, the ability to compile and analyze sales data using excel, and identify and communicate product exceptions to the Canadian sales and account services teams.

This role will aid in the creation of custom catalogues for specific key account customers, product assortment CADs, and specialty catalogues. This role will also support the Product Line Managers in our Product Development Management Database and TM1 database so the ability to learn new programs with a high attention to detail is needed.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the apparel industry from a merchandising, product, and/or retail point of view. Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills and above average ability to use computer software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Illustrator is preferred. Must be able to successfully manage several projects and activities simultaneously, often with tight timelines.

The ideal candidate would have 1-3 years of experience in apparel industry or related Post-Secondary education.
