Job Posting: Payroll Assistant
Permanent, Full time (40 hours/week)
Creative Team Solutions (CTS) provides back-office supports (finance, IT, HR, payroll and executive services) to not-for-profit organization. CTS is looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Finance Department as the Payroll Assistant. The position provides a wide range of payroll and benefits services to approx. 1000 employees.
Qualification: Preference will be given to candidates with Post-secondary education in Payroll, Business administration, Accounting or HR, with relevant payroll experience.
Prospective employees require a Criminal Records Check as part of the recruitment process;
2-3 years’ experience in processing payroll for over 200+ employees, using in-house payroll time keeping system.

Payroll in a unionized work environment
Reconciliation of payroll accounts
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments to meet in tractable deadline
Ability to provide exceptional customer service
Well organized and detail oriented
Demonstrated success in adapting to a variety of people, situations and environments.
Proven ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Strong computer skills, especially Excel
Strong oral and written communication skills
Critical thinking and trouble shooting skills
Creative problem solving and decision making
Planning and Organizational skills
Payroll certification (Payroll compliance practitioner certification)
Experience in Accounts payable and receivable
Familiarity with Avanti, CARM, Dynamic or Crystal Reports
