As the Technical Sales Specialist you will be a key contributor to growing our business and will work very closely with our clients/prospects, sales and product management teams. You will be laser-focused on understanding and responding to user needs and wants through direct engagement and must possess an entrepreneurial mindset and/or experience taking big vision ideas to reality. This role will report to the VP of Product Management. What we’d like you to do: Provide technical demonstrations of the product configured to a client’s individual use case Serve as a use-case expert Engage key opinion leaders and manage relationships effectively Engage in pre-sales activities including demos, trials, internal and external training and pilot programs Interact directly with prospects to address any technical questions and represent the technical expertise of the company’s Product and Development teams Develop expert knowledge of our product to articulate the company’s capabilities in the context of client needs and workflows Provide sales support and proactively work with sales to find new opportunities Be the expert on our buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria. Use your knowledge to help sales align their selling process with the way the market wants to buy. Help define the value proposition of our products for the sales team and help develop the sales tools that support the selling process Help develop core product positioning messages and product value propositions that differentiate Media Sonar in the market Assist with defining tailored content for presentations, demonstrations, etc. that highlight the value proposition of our product portfolio. Ensure marketing campaigns are consistent with product line strategy and that the messaging is effectively conveyed to our target audience Research and understand industry emerging trends and best practices Collect feedback from prospects and/or users and translate this into feedback for improvement Share insights with product development to ensure that product features/enhancements will solve target market needs Assist with creating well-defined user stories Contribute to marketing programs that will drive awareness and demand for products Present ideas and information in influential and compelling ways to internal and external parties Forge relationships and communicate with stakeholders at all levels and across all business functions You should be someone who is/has: 3+ years of relevant experience Subject matter expert/industry experience in law enforcement or corporate security a significant asset Post-secondary degree, diploma or comparable experience Possess a blend of business and technology savviness Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and an ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism in all client communications The ability to influence others, build relationships, manage conflict and handle negotiations A desire to understand user’s needs and generate excitement for industry-leading software solutions Experience interacting with clients with a desire to build customer-centric products Ability to work effectively across functional groups with minimal supervision Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high energy and evolving environment Good technical understanding with the ability to grasp technical terms and product features Ability to understand issues from the client’s perspective Strong problem-solving acumen to analyze client issues and recommend appropriate solutions To Apply: If you are interested in an exciting opportunity and the chance to work with an experienced group in a fun and entrepreneurial technology company, apply at www.mediasonar.com/careers today!
